The Story

 

Most florists will tell you they’ve always loved flowers. I’ll tell you the truth — I didn’t. And that’s exactly what makes Fortéia different.

Growing up, flowers weren’t part of my world. I was more at home on a basketball court than in a garden. That changed when my husband designed and built our home, and I found myself wanting to make those rooms feel as alive as the life we were building inside them. What started as curiosity became a craft — and then a calling.

My standards go beyond aesthetics. I hand-select every stem, design with intention, and treat vase life like a science, because what you’re really investing in is the emotion a space evokes in the people inside it. Whether I’m designing for a corporate lobby, a retail environment, or a once-in-a-lifetime event, I don’t just arrange flowers — I build atmosphere. And I partner with you until the last petal to make sure it’s exactly right.

The Meaning

 

Fortéia (pronounced for-TAY-uh) is built from two ideas:

 

Fort, as a haven of hospitality, and Forte, a signature strength.

 

Together, fort and forte describe a complete posture: a place designed to welcome others animated by a craft confident enough to be unmistakable. One is the architecture of welcome; the other is the special artistry that makes the welcome memorable.
